Remove pigment spots in Frankfurt
Pigment spots can affect the appearance of the skin and reduce self-confidence.
Fortunately, there is an effective method to gently remove these annoying spots: IPL laser treatment.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, also known as photofacial or photorejuvenation.
This treatment method is particularly suitable for pigmentation spots caused by sun exposure, skin ageing or hormonal changes.
It offers a gentle and effective solution to improve the appearance of the skin.
At our specialist dermatology practice in Frankfurt, we offer the removal of pigment spots using IPL lasers.

IPL laser against pigment spots
The IPL laser emits high-intensity light at different wavelengths, which acts specifically on the pigmented cells of the skin.
These pigment cells absorb the light, which heats and destroys them.
The body then breaks down these destroyed pigments naturally, causing the pigment spots to initially appear darker and then gradually fade.
In addition, this treatment can also reduce redness, which is another positive effect.
As well as removing pigmentation spots, IPL therefore also helps to improve the overall appearance of the skin by creating a more even and clearer skin surface.
At our practice in Frankfurt, we offer the removal of a wide range of pigment spots, including
- Age spots
- Chloasma
- Freckles
- Letigines (light-damaged skin)
- other dark discolorations
How many treatments are necessary to remove the pigment spots?
In most cases, one treatment is necessary to achieve optimal results.
However, the number of sessions required may vary depending on the type and severity of the pigment spots, so 2-3 sessions may occasionally be necessary.
We will be happy to give you an estimate of the number of treatment sessions required during our consultation.
What needs to be considered during IPL treatment?
After an IPL treatment, the skin may be temporarily reddened, similar to a mild sunburn.
This redness usually subsides within a few hours.
It is important to avoid sun exposure and to consistently use sunscreen to protect the skin from further damage or the reappearance of pigmentation marks.
Intensive skin care products and peelings should also be avoided in order not to irritate the skin further.
Most patients can resume their normal activities immediately, but physical exertion and excessive sweating should be avoided on the day of treatment to aid healing.
